As summer 2019 moves on, Jacksonville NC still has an abundance of activities for all ages to enjoy. Here are a few of them.
Jazz fans can enjoy a mellow evening at the Jacksonville Commons Amphitheater Tuesday evening, July 16 listening to the local musical group Onslow Winds Jazz Ensemble in concert. The “Ladies Night” concert runs from 7-8 p.m., and is free and open to everyone. The amphitheater is located at 1300 Commons Drive South. Bring your own blankets and chairs as you enjoy an evening of music in the great outdoors.
The Jacksonville Commons Amphitheater comes alive again Friday evening, July 19 with the movie “Ralph Breaks the Internet.” Enjoy time kicking back with fun activities starting at 7 p.m. and the movie starting at sunset.
Get your children ready for Fall Youth Sports as sign-ups are already in progress. You can sign your kids up online for the following sports:
$30 for city residents
$55 for non-residents
There will be a late registration fee of $5 if you sign up after Friday, July 19.
Running with the Law 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run, August 3 – The starting line for this fun family event is at Jacksonville Commons. The event begins at 7 a.m. and runs until 10 a.m. Dress up as your favorite superhero as you run or walk the race route with Jacksonville and Onslow County’s finest law enforcement officers.
Jacksonville’s National Night Out at Riverwalk Crossing Park, August 6, 5-9 p.m. – Meet your local law enforcement officers at this fun family event that is free of charge for everyone. as the community comes together for a night out against crime. Enjoy live music, food, fireworks, games for the kids, a bicycle giveaway and lots more!
